Good Food and Wine Show Durban
The Good Food and Wine show at the Durban Exhibition Centre was a huge success for Whack a Waffle. Durban went crazy to get their hands on our waffles.
Celebrities that got whacked included Masterchef SA winner, Deena Naidoo, The Giggling Gourment, Jenny Morris, ECR Jocks Sirshin Moodliar and Ramona Kasavan.

SACA
South African Chefs Association is a National network of South African Chefs, cooks and caterers at all levels in South Africa.
The governing body of SACA is a board of directors – 14 leaders in the catering world, elected to serve the interests of the Association in a voluntary capacity. Each region has its own decentralised organisation structure.
Team South Africa, our national culinary team, is selected by SACA every four years.
On an international level, the Association has always actively participated in the activities of the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS).
ACADEMY OF CHEFS
The Academy of Chefs, is the honour society of the South African Chefs Association, and is the vehicle for SACA to recognise the achievements of its members.The primary goal of the Academy will be interaction amongst members nationally.
The Goal of the Academy members is to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism in the organisation, society and industry.
To create and promote programs that benefit our young chefs or soon to be chefs, targeting schools and other training providers. Academy members promote education in this profession and support those efforts by passing on the skills, training and expertise they possess. Academy members are always accountable for presenting a positive image throughout the local, regional and national communities at events they attend and or sponsor. Academy members are supportive and willing to accept the challenge to serve as culinary advisors to the Centre of Culinary Excellence (CCE), as well as be willing to assist at Academy dinners.
WACS
The World Association of Chefs' Societies, or (WACS), is a global network of chefs associations .
This global body has 93 official chefs associations as members that represent over 10 million professional chefs world wide.
WACS is managed by an elected presidential body consisting of the WACS president, vice president, treasurer, secretary general and ambassador honourary president, as well as a board of continenal directors that look after the regions of Asia, Europe, Africa, the Pacific and the Americas.
WACS is a global representative grouping of national chefs´ societies. Each country can only be represented by a single chefs´ society, which must be of national significance (South African Chefs Association-SACA).
